A little more about me...

Over the years, I've honed my photography skills through countless hours of practice, subjecting my family and friends to both my not-so-great photos and standout ‘wow’ shots. Growing up in South Africa, I cherished our visits to the bush for game viewing, where photographing wild animals in their natural habitat brought immense gratification.

When I relocated Vancouver and then to the West Kootenays in British Columbia, I was awestruck by the province's natural beauty, yet struggled to truly capture its magnificence in photos. However, I was determined not to give up and immersed myself in the outdoor lifestyle, frequently engaging in activities like hiking, kayaking, biking, cross-country skiing, and snowshoeing, while never leaving the camera behind.

Not long after moving to the Kootenays, I found my heart stolen by a husky named Emery, whom we adopted from H.E.A.R.T. She became my constant companion on numerous adventures, and I sought to capture her incredible energy and unique personality through my photographs. A few years later, we welcomed Flynn, our second husky, into our family. Flynn's charming disposition and love for being adored made him an ideal photography model, as he relished every moment in the spotlight. His energy is so different to Em’s and his preferred activity is snuggling up on the couch and wanting cuddles all day long.

Capturing your pet's energy and personality through photography is not just a hobby for me; it's my passion, bringing immense joy when I capture that perfect shot.
